When I started printmaking I set out to carve flowers I had grown. Planted as seeds and nurtured to bloom. As I started printing the stamps I had carved I started to put more thought into the meaning behind flowers. They have histories of medicinal uses, victorian symbolism and a place in mythology. After doing a little research I discovered echinacea is a symbol of strength and health. It has long been a cure-all herbal remedy.

Hang a symbol strength and health in your home, or send it to someone you love. This echinacea is hand-printed on a citrine paper. I then added leaves with marker and watercolors, making each print one of a kind. It measures 7” x 5” and is printed with water based inks on acid free, FSC certified colorplan paper.
