This print is called, sweet dreams, my love.

Poppies symbolize deep sleep, peace, death and resurrection. They also symbolize remembrance. I’ve always seen them as a welcome sign of summer, as worshipers of the sun, and breeze. Their petals seem as fragile as paper, yet they survive the elements. Watching their buds burst open to full flowers is, in itself, a sight to behold. The petals open showing the not yet mature seed pod surrounded by anthers and stamen. Watching their petals fall, exposing a mature seed pod, completes the beautiful cycle of flowering.

This print is made of four linocut stamps with added details. The stem and stamen are drawn in by hand. Water-based inks are mixed by me and printed on citrine colorplan paper, which is acid free, FSC certified and biodegradable. It measures 7”x7”.

The frames are hand-milled from reclaimed wood. Comes with a sawtooth hanger with rubber bumpers to protect your wall. Each framed print is constructed with archival materials.
