One of my favorite garden flowers are cosmos. They grow tall on thin stems and reach towards the sun. Cosmos stand for harmony, order, peace and tranquility. Right now, we all need to stand for peace. Cosmos are the perfect flowers for this time of upheaval.
These cosmos flowers are printed from a lino-sheet I cut (see last photo for a detail of my process). I drew the pollen in by hand and colored it with watercolor marker. The stem is also drawn in with marker and colored with water color marker and pencils. (Process photos are shown so you can see the flowers without the stems, leaves and pollen all added by hand). Each one is slightly different, as is nature.
Hang a symbol of peace in your home. These cosmos are printed in water-based inks on pistachio colorplan paper and measure 8” x 10”. Colorplan paper is made of 100% ECF virgin fiber, is biodegradable and FSC certified.
The frames are hand-milled from reclaimed wood. Comes with a sawtooth hanger and rubber bumpers to protect your wall. Each framed print is constructed with archival materials.
